Albert Critser, 78, died Friday morning (Aug. 4, 1978) in his residence at 1308 Ind. 25 W at Lafayette. He had been in failing health several years. A native of Benton County, he lived in Attica and was employed there as a car accountant for C.A.&S. Railroad and had also worked at the Wabash Creamery for several years. He was the editor's milkman at one time and started the Meadow Gold Route in Attica. This is the only dairy route still making home deliveries in Attica. He suffered one bad accident one morning when the editor and his family resided in the Brady house on North Perry St. where Mr. and Mrs. Jack Mahoney now live. Al always made the delivery at the back door. On returning to his truck parked in the street beside the house, he slipped on the ice and broke his arm when he came down on the bumper. He moved to Lafayette in 1943 and worked for several years at the Sunshine Dairy until his employment as superintendent of maintenance for the School City there in 1964. He was married at Covington to Emma George, who survives. Mr. Critser was a member of Tippecone County Masonic Lodge 123. He served in the National Guard for five years during World War I and also served in the Army during World War II. Surviving with the widow are one daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Zedia) Spenard; and a son, Donald L. Critser, both of Lafayette. -– jlr
